This course has three key components:
Knowledge Development
This segment of the course focuses on theoretical learning. You gain an understanding of the principles and concepts related to dive rescue, including recognizing and preventing potential diving incidents. Knowledge development often involves self-study using course materials, group discussions, and quizzes to reinforce understanding.
Rescue Training Exercises
The practical aspect of the course involves hands-on training sessions in controlled environments such as a pool or confined water area. During these exercises, you’ll practice vital rescue techniques, including assisting tired or panicked divers to the surface, managing out-of-air situations, and providing first aid for injuries such as cuts, stings, or decompression sickness. Course Prerequisites
In order to sign up for the course and certify as a PADI rescue diver, you must fulfill the following requirements:
1. 12 years old or more
2. Be a certified Adventure Diver. You can find this course in our advanced PADI dive courses here.
3.. You must have completed Emergency First Response Care (both primary and secondary), in the past 24 months.
Course Duration
The duration of the first phase of this course, knowledge development, varies from diver to diver. In this segment, you have the freedom to complete the theoretical learning at your own pace. For this, you can sign up for PADI eLearning and start learning from home. Once you finish this phase, you’ll have to come to our dive center to finish the remaining course.
The rescue training exercises and open-water rescue scenario segments take three days.

Our PADI Rescue Diver course costs 360 JOD and it includes all dives and necessary equipment you need to learn on site.
