Gulf of Aqaba

The Gulf of Aqaba is the northernmost tip of the Red Sea. It is a narrow gulf that is filled with diverse marine life. Divers from around the world love the warm, clear waters, amazing wrecks, and beautiful corals. Come dive with us and you'll be hooked.

Daily Scuba Diving

We offer boat and shore scuba diving in Aqaba. The diving here in Aqaba is superb, so you will want to get an early start and dive all day! Deep Blue is a full-service dive center open daily from 9 am – 5 pm.

When you arrive, our staff will provide you with whatever you need for diving and assist you in setting up your equipment. Our boat dives leave about 10 am, so we urge that all guests arrive at 9 am to fill out all the necessary paperwork (or bring paperwork with you by clicking button below). You must show your dive certificates (if applicable), and get fitted for Scubapro suits and fins.

Night dives need to be scheduled in advance.

Please remember that you should not scuba dive if you will be if there are less than 12 hours before flying or driving to Petra due to an increased risk of decompression sickness. For more information, view this article.

Refresher Dive Course

Deep Blue puts the safety of its customers first. Therefore, we require all certified divers to complete a short refresher course if they have not dived in 6 months or more and have less than 50 dives. Learning to scuba dive requires mastering specific skills and knowing the rules. It is a sport that needs to be done safely.

We will cover these basics in the quick refresher course:

  1. Mask clearing
  2. Buoyancy
  3. Regulator recovery

If it has been quite a few years since your last dive and you are looking for a more in-depth refresher course, consider the PADI ReActivate™ online program. It’s an easy way to update your dive skills and knowledge from the PADI Open Water Diver course. The course can be purchased and done online. It typically takes 1 to 5 hours to complete.
